My blog is a food based blog, but today I want to make an exception because this place is a very hidden gem in a middle of the Californian desert.
Desert Hot Springs is a little town known for having the purest hot springs mineral water of the country.
As soon as you walk the red door of the Inn, you’ll throw yourself into another world, because El Morocco Inn & Spa is a very special place, full of colors, energy and good vibes. Designed in authentic Moroccan style, every details is accurate and precise. It has a warm spring water pool and hot tub all year around (24/7), all kind of Spa services, a cute Zen garden with a Berber’s tent for meditation and yoga. You can also play the giant chess and bocce. On top of that they offer a complimentary healthy breakfast ready to enjoy in the Kasbah Lounge, and snacks like tea, French press coffee, dates, dried apricot and almond cookies, throughout the day. You can also have a sip of the Desert Hot Spring Mineral Water or refresh yourself with their signature Humphrey Bogarts Lemonade Mint Tea. When the sunset comes, it’s time for another treat : the Moroccotini (a Martini based cocktail), but only after have cleansed your hands with rose scented water (as the Moroccan tradition recalls).
If you crave for some authentic Mexican food, I would recommend the Casa Blanca Restaurant, just a couple of books from the Inn.
In conclusion, El Moroccan Inn & Spa is the perfect spot for a romantic and relaxing gateway (children and pets are not allowed).
