Alfajores, the best cookies I’ve ever had in my entire life!!!
I discovered these amazing cookies on a cookbook and yesterday night I had the privilege to eat them…absolutely delicious. The flavor, the shape, the texture, the filling, everything is just perfect!!!
Alfajor is an Andalusian variant of the Castilian word alajú, derived from the Arabic word al- fakhur, that means “luxury”, “exquisite”. Alfajores are very popular in Spain and in South America.
I had the Argentinian version of Alfajores that consists of two round, sweet biscuits joined together with mousse, dulce de leche or jam.
Can’t wait to follow the recipe I found and make Alfajores ASAP 😉
