“Il carreto passava e quell’uomo gridava GELATI!” (The cart passed by and that man cried Ice-Cream!).Those are the lyrics from a very famous italian song called “I Giardini di Marzo” ( The Gardens of March) written and performed by the great Lucio Battisti. And that’s exactly what happened in the 50’s during the hot italian summer.
I wasn’t even born my my Grandma told me about it.The fresh and creamy Gelato in a waffle cone called “Parigina”, the ice cream man, the bicycle ice cream-cart. I think this is Nostalgia and Poetry together!!!
